Perissos, Inc specializes in helping clients in the pharmaceutical industry drive business results through insight-driven marketing and medical strategies.
Perissos, Inc was founded by Stephen O'Quinn, PharmD. Prior to founding the firm, Stephen spent over 20 years with GlaxoSmithKline in senior leadership roles in both marketing and medical functions--from medicines development through commercial product launch and life cycle management. Stephen's marketing leadership roles included serving as Senior Director for 12 brands across 5 different therapeutic areas. Stephen's last role at GSK was as Senior Director of Marketing for Respiratory. While in that role, he directed the marketing activities in the US for market leading (3) and newly launched (4) brands for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and asthma, representing over $5 billion in combined sales.
Earlier in his career, Stephen spent over 10 years in pharmaceutical clinical development where he directed Phase II-IV clinical development programs in neurology and cardiology. He also directed development of scientific communications and regulatory submissions. More recently, Stephen returned turned to his roots in clinical development and medical affairs during a hiatus from this consultancy to serve as Vice President, Medical Affairs for Zynerba Pharmaceuticals. While serving in this role, Stephen gained extensive experience in rare/near rare neuropsychiatric medicines development.
Stephen holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with highest honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy with the UNC School of Pharmacy and Division of Cardiology. He also completed additional studies in marketing and executive leadership at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Stephen is active in his community and has served in numerous volunteer leadership positions. Stephen also co-founded a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which provides counseling and support to individuals.
